Position:  AV Parcel Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate

Department:  Furniture Operations

DEFINITION:   

Responsible for delivering Audio Visual products from the Wilmington Distribution Center, handing them off to an installation team or setting them in place, picking up all dunnage, and disposing of it correctly. Ensures that all paperwork is accurate and complete. Interacts with customers and communicates all issues to the Expeditor. When not delivering, works in warehouse receiving, locating, pulling product, and completing cycle counts as needed.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Complete daily vehicle condition/inspection report.
• Check product prior to loading, then load it in a manner that is safe for both the driver and the product.
• Safely deliver product to customer’s site.
• Record photos of delivered product and download them into a “daily progress report”.
• Record all relevant times on paperwork and electronically.
• Keep trucks / vans clean and organized.
• Unload truck at customer’s site and either deliver it to the installers or place product in desired location.
• Inspect products for damage or shortages and ensure that all is in working order.
• Clean all delivered products.
• Assemble products as required in accordance with product guidelines.
• Provide instructions on how to use products as appropriate.
• Complete Daily Progress Report, including photos of delivered product, discrepancies, and all relevant times.
• Obtain customer signature upon completion of a delivery.
• Interact with other employees and end users in a professional manner.
• Maintain attendance and personal appearance, neatly groomed and in appropriate uniform.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical for a Medical Card.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and clearly.
• Ability to lift and move loads of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to load and pack delivery truck efficiently and safely with product and equipment needed.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/LICENSE:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior inside delivery/distribution experience is a plus but not necessary.
