Description

The Manager, Business Process Improvements & Controls will partner with the business to drive critical process improvements/reengineering opportunities that will allow Red Thread to be a more efficient, scalable and profitable. This position will require strong business partnering skills and high cross functional involvement as you will work closely with the business team gathering feedback to understand pain points and then you will work to develop creative solutions that can be implemented. You will be active in implementation and execution including the change management process as well as training. Process mapping, standardization and documentation will also be important as well as business case analysis and ROI evaluation. You will be called upon to evaluate technology solutions and automation opportunities. Automation will be a critical and significant focus to this role as we look to develop a technology plan that optimizes the business productivity. Understanding technology and valuing technology’s role in creating a better business is very important to the success of this role. This position will be active in strategic initiatives for the company and will be highly involved in developing a system of margin management in the business that will ensure compliance to business policy decisions. This position requires someone who is very curious and will push the envelope for creative solutions to improve and problem solve. This is a newly created position for Red Thread and will report to the EVP of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement Specialist

  • Understand the “As is” process and process map / document thoroughly
  • Review any ongoing changes and updates to processes and technology and quality check them as well as understand the impacts to other parts of the business.
  • Lead process improvement projects across the enterprise
  • Ongoing analysis of the business processes with a focus on improving margin accountability and results.
  • Develop a robust control framework to ensure policy decision compliance.

Business Initiative Support

  • Work closely with the business team to understand issues and develop solutions
  • Analyze data and use data as an enabler to strategic change. Actively help the business evaluate business case and ROI
  • Gather best practices and evaluate them for implementation.
  • Key point of contact and driving force for business initiatives. Be a change agent.
  • Be actively involved in training on new processes and initiatives

Technology Champion

  • Evaluate new technologies and rationalize existing tools. Actively recommend tools to support business needs.
  • Evaluate options, implement and be the champion for automation across the enterprise.
  • Aggressively pursue automation opportunities such as RPA.
  • Improve analytic tools across the organization with key focus on data transparency and efficiency.
  • Represent the business on technology changes and advocate for new programming needs
  • Review Hedberg release functionality, gather feedback from cross functional teams on changes, and drive changes through the organization
  • Act as the liaison with outside constituents on H2 development and adoption. Promote the Red Thread POV on H2 development.

Qualifications:

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and Office 365 understanding

  • Frequent travel to other New England offices required.

Level of Education/Training/License:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant business experience with an emphasis on business and process analysis, process improvement, change management, and cross functional support
  • Lean, six sigma and process improvement experience a plus.
