Description
The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for all administrative tasks related to the receipt of presold products into the Wilmington/Andover Distribution Center. This role serves as a key support resource for the Receiving team and oversees all Freight Claims within the facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Print and file receiving documents.
- Print delivery tickets and distribute them to the schedulers.
- Monitor Open Dock and adjust schedules as needed.
- Assist Receivers in documenting damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Serve as a point of contact for issues such as missing POs or packing lists.
- Coordinate with Sales and Schedulers for orders requiring quick turnaround.
- Handle administrative duties related to monthly cycle counts.
Freight Claims Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of rules and guidelines for Freight Claims, including noted damage, concealed damage, and shortages.
- File and manage Freight Claims promptly and accurately.
- Take and upload supporting photos for claims.
- Coordinate vendor returns and order replacement products.
- Notify Sales of all relevant issues and updates.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
- PC Skills: Microsoft Windows including Word and Excel.
- Basic Hedberg knowledge (a plus, not required).
- Basic product knowledge (a plus, not required).
- Clear and professional communication, both verbally and in writing
- Detail oriented and organized
- Works well in a multi-task organization
Level of Education/Training/License:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- B.A / B.S. preferred.
Experience:
- One to three years’ administrative experience.
- One year experience in similar experience or related industry desired.
