Join Red Thread as a Sales Engineer, where you'll bridge the gap between client needs and AV innovation—designing smart, integrated solutions that shape modern workplaces. This is a design-driven, client-facing role ideal for a proactive professional who thrives at the intersection of creativity, engineering, and customer collaboration.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll:
- Support Sales Teams: Collaborate with sales during early client engagement, assisting in site visits, needs assessments, and presenting solutions.
- Design Solutions: Translate client requirements into high-performance AV system designs including UC platforms (Zoom/Teams), Audio Systems, LED walls, Camera switching, and Collaboration tools.
- Develop Documentation: Produce equipment diagrams, infrastructure requirements, executive summaries, and cost estimates.
- Client-Focused Engineering: Attend design meetings with clients, architects, and consultants to ensure alignment with vision and technical feasibility.
- Showcase Technology: Coordinate with vendors to demonstrate emerging tech and evaluate products for client presentations.
- Project Handoffs: Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth transitions from design to implementation.
- Quality Control: Review completed systems to ensure execution matches design intent.
- Drive Innovation: Stay up to date on AV trends and mentor others in the department through knowledge-sharing and leadership.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in the AV industry in design or engineering roles.
- CTS-D and/or CTS-I certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (preferred).
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for follow-through and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive under deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for problem-solving.

Salary Range:
- $80k - $100k (based on experience). Plus bonus.
