Red Thread, the premier provider of customized workplace environments, integrating office furnishings, interior architectural systems, floor covering, technology and audio-visual communication tools to create exceptional places for working, collaborating and learning, seeks a dedicated, customer service-oriented professional to join our team as an AV Project Manager in our Wilmington, Ma office.

The AV Project Manager is responsible for the successful coordination and completion of assigned Audiovisual projects. The position works closely with both AV Engineering and AV Sales to ensure project scope is clear, concise, understood and implemented.

Responsibilities:
Project Planning, Coordination & Management

• Works with Project Engineer to establish and understand overall scope of projects
• Develops work plan & schedule based on project parameters, project schedule, scope and client goals
• Thoroughly reviews project site, plans and product specifications
• Provides and/or reviews project/proposal labor estimates
• Coordinates all documentation and materials necessary for installation
• Attend internal and external project meetings as necessary

Project Administration

• Coordination of permits and COI as required
• Maintain detailed project documentation throughout the life of the project
• Meeting notes, change orders, client requests
• Provide timely formal written communication throughout the project to the internal and external project teams
• Creates and maintains a project folder which includes, but not limited to:
  • Project timeline, installation scope, meeting notes

Project Implementation

• Surveys site to determine site readiness
• Pre-installation coordination with AV Technician prior to installation
• Receive and resolve all requests from the field during installation
• Attend internal and external project meetings as necessary
• Ensures field paperwork is completed and delivered in a timely manner

Qualifications:
Desired skills and experience:

• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in the audio/visual field or a related field
• A minimum of 2+ years Project Management or related experience
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
• Ability to analyze, plan, schedule and implement project installation
• PMI or PMP Certification (Preferred)
• ICIA CTS Designation (Required)
• Extron AV Associate designation (preferred)
• Basic Understanding of Network Topology
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
• Strong Attention to Detail & Processes
• Experience with Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project
