We seek a dedicated, service-oriented professional to join our team as an Audio Visual (AV) Field Engineer in our Wilmington, MA facility.

The AV Field Engineer is responsible for a variety of field and home-base duties associated with the closeout & commissioning of complex audiovisual systems. This position is responsible for ensuring proper installation of integrated systems, quality control of audiovisual infrastructure, testing and final calibrations. Experience with AV over IP and various Unified Communications platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft & others is beneficial. Interfacing with client to include demonstration of new system operations, client trainings, and obtaining client sign-offs.

The primary job functions are as follows:
• System Testing, Troubleshooting & Optimization
o Fully test basic & integrated systems
o Working with and understanding testing equipment
o Develop & write test reports
• System Configuration, Downloading & Testing
o Extron Products (IPLink, TouchLink)
o Crestron, AMX Control Systems
o Video Conferencing Systems

o Unified communications platforms
o DSP - Biamp Tesira/Audia/Nexia, Polycom SoundStructure, ClearOne Converge/Interact, BSS Soundweb, Symetrix, and QSC

o Configuring and supporting audio over IP via Dante
o Crestron NVX/DigitalMedia and AMX Enova Systems

o Cisco & Microsoft certifications are a plus.
• Installation including but not limited to:
o Ceiling/wall mounted cameras, speakers & displays (LCDs, plasmas, etc.)
o Cabling infrastructure, AV Racks
o Wall plates and interfaces (audio, video, or control)
o Microphones (ceiling, table, wired, or wireless)
• Proficiency in various terminations including, but not limited to, Audio connectors, Video connectors, Network connectors and Control connectors
• Communicating daily status reports via email and/or PROCORE


Skills and Experience:
• A minimum of 3 to 4-years’ experience in the audio/visual field or a related field
• The ability and willingness to work overtime as required
• Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting basic and integrated audio visual systems
• Ability to build racks and read schematics
• Technical or BS degree in related field, ICIA CTS Designation (Required)
• DSP Certifications (Biamp, Dante, Polycom Soundstructure, ClearOne, BSS Soundweb)
• Basic understanding of Crestron and AMX code
• Experience with Crestron Toolbox, SIMPL, NetLinx Studio, etc.
• Basic Understanding of Network Topology & general networking knowledge
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
• Strong Attention to Detail & Processes
• Experience with Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite preferred
• Physical Demands:
o Ability to go up and down a ladder repeatedly
o Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted
o Ability to lift and install product overhead in the ceiling
o Appropriate visual acuity to terminate cables
