RECEIVABLES PORTFOLIO MANAGER

Red Thread Spaces LLC, a subsidiary of Steelcase, a NYSE company has an opportunity for a Receivables Portfolio Manager within our credit/collection team in support of 10 sales offices in the Northeast. Our 480 employees provide interior solutions consisting of furniture, flooring, audio visual, architectural products, engineered interiors and technology services. East Hartford, CT based position requires occasional travel to other offices and customers. The position will work closely with the VP of Treasury Services and current Receivables Portfolio Manager who will be transitioning to retirement over the next 2 years.

SUMMARY

This person is responsible for the credit management and collection effort of Red Thread’s accounts receivable portfolio while enhancing the sales effort through cooperation with salespeople. The four most important skills required to be successful are communication, problem solving, critical thinking and business acumen. However, these skills alone will not be enough if you don’t have a work ethic that encompasses a “get the job done” mentality. Credit risk minimization and collection success are achieved by complying with company credit policies, understanding our customers, having a pulse on the economic climate and actively managing the receivables portfolio. Unique aspects of the position include:

• Contract review and management with an emphasis on construction contracts
• AIA Billings
• E-Commerce integration with customer procurement systems
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of business experience in a for-profit environment are essential. Experience in credit, collections, finance, e-procurement systems and construction contracts would provide a solid base for success
