Description
  1. Position Summary:
     
    Under the direction of the Director of AV Operations, the AV Programmer position is responsible for the programming and troubleshooting of Commercial Crestron & AMX control systems. Crestron Systems are primarily used.
     
  2. Essential Functions:
     
    • Produce code and touch panel graphics as well as product research required to produce programming for installation of audiovisual systems
    • Produce source code for each control system using company and industry standards
    • Programming standards to include: graphical appearance; custom code; system functionality; assist in the proposal process which may include estimating needs analysis documents and estimate hours for new and updated code
    • Customer training and facilitate Technical Writing staff screen shot captures of panel and capabilities
    • Service and maintenance calls for existing clients
    • Perform system testing
    • Document deficiencies and verification of proper resolution
    • Participate in team based design projects and design review processes to ensure the quality and consistency of engineering work
    • Client meetings during various phases of the project. Meeting responsibilities may include:
      • Gathering customer requirements
      • Presenting design options to clients
      • Explain design practices to clients / users
         
  3. Position Qualifications
     
    • A two or four-year Technical Degree in the Electronics or Computer field is preferred
    • 3+ years of audiovisual specific programming experience required
    • Crestron Certification preferred
    • Hands-on audiovisual installation experience preferred
    • ICIA CTS Required; CTS-I or CTS-D preferred
    • Experience with Visual C++ or Visual Basic, Crestron and AMX Programming
    • Experience with Adobe Fireworks CS4 or CS5 preferred
    • Strong Ability to read and interpret Audiovisual Project Flow Documents
    • Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite is required
